DogFest
Join us on April 26th at DogFest in San Francisco! We will be there to help wag some furry tails and share information (and SWAG!) about Sage Compassion for Animals. We will have one of our Veterinary board members on site to answer questions about pet care - FOR FREE!
DogFest is a celebration of dogs, families, and community. It’s also a charitable event that raises funds for McKinley Elementary – a small public school in the neighborhood. Starting 17 years ago, DogFest has grown into a beloved San Francisco tradition with thousands of supporters and hundreds of businesses participating.
The event takes place at Deboce Park in San Francisco, from 11-3p.
More info about this free event can be found here. Hope to see you!

Pet Insurance: Do I Really Need It?
Speaker: Julie D. Smith, DVM, DACVS, CCRT, MBA
Pet insurance has a low adoption rate among companion pet owners in the US, and is much more popular in Canada and Europe. But pet insurance can be a lifesaver when a pet becomes ill. In this talk, you will learn more about the role pet insurance can play in the planning for your pet's lifelong health and what to look for in a plan.
Our speaker is a veterinary surgeon, veterinary business owner, and Board Member of Sage Compassion for Animals, a non-profit awarding grants to pet parents that cannot afford the veterinary care that their pet needs. She is also one of nine veterinarians in the United States chosen to sit on the Veterinary Economic Strategy Committee that examines the economics of the veterinary industry that impacts pet owners, pets, and the veterinary community.
Recording will be made available on demand with event sign-up
